CUEPACS Wants Special Payment Raised By Another RM500

LANGKAWI, Dec 7 (Bernama) -- CUEPACS has asked the government to consider its request for a raise of RM500 in the special payment paid to all government employees.

Its president Omar Osman said CUEPACS understood that the current economic situation did not permit the government to pay the bonus as demanded by them but CUEPACS still wanted the government to consider the payment of an additional RM500 to the special payment already paid out by the government earlier.

"The request for the additional RM500 was among the matters decided at the congress attended by 110 CUEPACS members throughout the country," he told reporters after the CUEPACS Congress 2009/2010, here today.

Omar said CUEPACS hoped the additional RM500 could be paid out before the school reopened for the new year to ease the financial burden of the government employees.
