Cuepacs to table SBPA proposal paper on Feb 22
PUTRAJAYA: Cuepacs is scheduled to table its proposal paper to the special task force to review the Public Service New Renumeration Scheme (SBPA) on Feb 22.
Its president Datuk Omar Osman said the comprehensive proposal paper was expected to be completed by the SBPA Action Committee, which was specially formed by Cuepacs, before the stated date.
"We can give an idea whether all the demands of the public servants in connection with SBPA can be fulfilled or otherwise, after the tabling of the proposal paper," he told reporters after attending the second meeting of the special task force, here, today.
He said no new issues were discussed at the meeting today and the focus was on continuing the agenda from the first meeting and on the five demands from Cuepacs submitted earlier.
The five demands are reviewing the principle of salary transfer of government servants on Grade 54 and below, retaining staff's seniority in the Malaysian Renumeration Scheme (SSM),reviewing the maximum salary scale, listing government servants who are eligible of getting a pay increase until 13 per cent, and reviewing the structuring of salary increases of all grades.
"The meeting did not raise any new issues but only focused on the five demands in the hope that they can be settled early and need not drag for three months," he said.
At the same time, Omar also thanked the government for agreeing to allow three more Cuepacs senior leaders to become members of the special task force.
